This research would like to see if the defense spending will influence the national economics through economic growth by demand side approach. By assuming the natural balance of power, the traditional threat come not only from military capabilities but also balanced by their economic power. The equation model formed to capture the influence of defense spending to economics growth. The regression describes that military spending had an impact on economic growth. Increase in the level of traditional threat is not reduce economic growth. The Indonesian defense budget give impact on the national economics, and the traditional threat is in small variation. But, the national defense budget still needs to be increased. This makes production could be stable, and the economic actors still feel safe doing the business.

This study was conducted for the exploration of sport risk strategic management (ESRSM) elements. This study focuses on the dominant SRSM. This study also confirmed whether the resulting element was an element in determining the SRSM criteria. In determining the element, the Classic Test Theory (CTT) using qualitative methods through two approaches is used (i) based on the analysis of the documents by making a literature review decision; and (ii) interviews. Rasch’s model element analysis using the main component analysis on residuals is used in this study to ascertain and validate elements or elements. It is possible to determine the construcibility of constructs to identify the possibility that other elements may affect the element. Based on the findings from document analysis and interviews show the dominant elements and dimensions of the SRSM of sports professionals, is the identification, assessment, selection and implementation of operations. With this SRSM it can improve the safe sports environment and can improve sports performance. Through the analysis of the elements conducted, it is found that all the elements produced have met the criteria set by the Rasch model, the percentage of the raw variance is explained by the measurement of more than 40%, the percentage of variance not explained in the first contrast is less than 10% and the first value of the first eigen less than 3.0. This proves and confirms that the whole extract is unidimensional and capable of measuring what to measure. In conclusion through this study, elements have been produced and validated as the dominant SRSM elements and no other dominant elements are detected.

The measurement of image in the banking sector is important especially to understand customer’s perception towards the bank service. However, the available scales measuring the image of banks are mainly based on the conventional institutions, which neglect the important Islamic values adopted by Islamic bank. As such, this study proposes to develop a reliable and valid scale to measure the functional component of the corporate brand image for Islamic banking institutions. Based on the available literatures and interviews with relevant stakeholders, a modified scale is suggested. The result of EFA and CFA shows that the functional image of an Islamic brand could be divided into four dimensions which are contact personnel, shariah advisory panel, access to service, and service offerings. The results provide a tool that could be used by banking management to measure the bank image.

Abstract
The collapse of prominent companies coupled with the increasing number of lawsuits against the directors of the companies for wrongdoing has raised concerns with insider trading activities. Insider trading does cause significant market reaction, whereby the insiders are able to earn significant cumulative abnormal returns for both purchases and sales. However, studies on the factors influencing insider trading are relatively scarce. This study aims to examine the factors that influence insider trading activities. Specifically, this study examines the relationship between four corporate governance factors, namely, board independence, board size, executive compensation and ownership concentration and insider trading activities in public listed companies in Malaysia. This study evinces that board size and executive compensation significantly influence insider purchases. On the other hand, significant market reaction caused by insider sales may be explained by other factors. Therefore, future studies could be carried out on other factors that may influence opportunistic insider sales. This study also found evidence against the semi-strong form Efficient Market Hypothesis theory that suggests insiders cannot earn abnormal returns in a semi-strong efficient market using public information.

Abstract
The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is an umbrella term for China’s plans to re-establish both the overland Silk Route Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Route. It has gained the support of over 100 countries and international organizations and until now, more than 40 of them have signed cooperation agreements with China. Although BRI is an open, diversified and win-win project poised to bring huge opportunities for the development of China and many other countries, to a certain level, it has been seen by some economists, scholars, political and academic pundits as a new form of colonialism. This paper intends to summarize and integrate the literature that provides arguments for and against China’s initiative to lead economic development, notably infrastructure investments, involving countries located along the route of her traditional land and maritime silk trade. By reviewing literature which links China’s leadership initiative from the perspective of globalization, global business competition and colonialism, we hope to furnish information and an analytical basis which are useful to support a better understanding and policy making for BRI partners. Fundamentally, a win-win situation is seen to be vital in such partnership.
